The Copper Beech tree has always fascinated us. Our first home had a large Copper Beech on the corner of the lot. We pushed our first child on a swing hanging from its branches.
The silent strength and natural beauty of this tree extends well into the winter season as copper coloured leaves hold fast to its limbs in the cold winter winds. The Copper Beech is also iconic of our European heritage, where these grand trees have stood for centuries as silent observers over the lives and families of our ancestors.
Our tree farm started in 2014, with a couple of acres of grafted and hedging Beech planted as a means of supporting our growing family of young daughters. Having both worked in the horticulture industry in our youth, we had all but forgotten the grounded feeling associated with nurturing plants in soil. After selling out of our first crop of trees, we decided to acquire more land and expand our tree farm.
